The LAG tank semi-trailer produced by LAG Trailers, a subsidiary of CIMC, was named the UK's "2015 Tank of the Year " in March 2016 for its high commercial value, fuel economy and lower weight to strength ratio.

Successful transnational cooperation

The new LAG tank semi-trailer is the best fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly transport vehicle created by four companies. They are LAG Trailers, Inver Energy, Turners Transport, and Williams Tanker Service. Inver Energy is the user of the award-winning tank semi-trailer.

Huge economic benefits

The new LAG tank semi-trailer has brought huge economic benefits to Inver Energy. By reducing its weight by two tons, the tank semi-trailer's carrying capacity is increased by 2,000 liters.

"The fuel economy achieved by the lightweight tank brings us considerable benefits. It not only increases the carrying capacity of the tank semi-trailer, but also reduces carbon emissions, so that we can provide customers with more competitive products," said Tony Wilson, Commercial Director at Inver Energy.

Innovative design and manufacturing

The LAG tank semi-trailer is built using a proven breakwater and tank design, which requires only three girth welds. Zero leakage is ensured by eliminating internal cross-bin welds and external welded joints. The suspension and axle assembly of the auxiliary frame of the bracket are installed through the tank box to eliminate the direct impact load. Furthermore, the center distance of suspension spring is optimized to improve the roll stability and control the overall vehicle height. All suspension parts are bolted together for easy maintenance and aftermarket supply.

The LAG tank semi-trailer has also been named the most photogenic trailer for 2015 by the Dutch media.

LAG is a subsidiary of CIMC, which specializes in the production of European tank semi-trailers. The company is headquartered in Belgium and has subsidiaries in the Netherlands and Poland. It is mainly engaged in the production of high-end aluminum alloy and stainless-steel tank semi-trailers. As a company with a long history of 70 years, it has been the first to introduce aluminum alloy tank semi-trailers to Europe, and its products are well known in the eastern and western European markets. In 2007, CIMC acquired LAG, and the two sides have complemented each other through advanced European design and Chinese manufacturing advantage. Relying on CIMC's global strategic positioning of "global operation with the wisdom of local employees," LAG has a positive interaction with CIMC's member enterprises- CIMC Tonghua and CIMC Special Vehicles- on tank semi-trailers and skeletal trailers to achieve win-win results.
